The First MSMU was ranked 251-300 in the prestigious Times Higher Education BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings 2017      The inclusion of Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University in the THE BRICS & Emerging Economies rankings is a significant achievement, meaning that our University is one of the top 300 institutions in the 50 countries included in the analysis.
The ranking uses the same 13 rigorous performance indicators as the THE World University Rankings, examining each university's strengths against all of its core missions - teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. But the methodology has been carefully recalibrated to better reflect the characteristics and development priorities of universities in developing economies.
PHIL BATY, Editor of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, said:" We only rank the very best universities from this cohort so to make the top 300 list is a great achievement in itself and Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University should be heartily congratulated."
