Another Russian academic unit is set up

Another Russian academic unit is set upThe establishment of new academic unit has been finally reinforced by the agreement signed by Rectors of Kazan (Volga) Federal University and Sechenov First MSMU at the Project 5-100 Seminar-Conference.

June 6, 2016. An agreement on joint running the specific academic unit is reached between Kazan (Volga) Federal University (KFU) and Sechenov First MSMU to be signed by both rectors – Il’shat Gafurov and Peter Glybochko respectively.
Seminar-Conference at First MSMU brought together the Project 5-100 participants representing twenty-one high schools. The University has been admitted to the Project just a bit longer than six months (since October 2015), however it already occupies its legal niche among the universities involved since the very beginning.
The emerging academic unit will brings together the research organizations of both universities to focus on improving competitiveness of Russian biological, medical and pharmaceutical science and industry internationally. Working together the scientists of FMSMU and KFU will promote the development of innovative technologies and enable unimpeded transfer of knowledge. Cooperation of leading Russian universities ensures that national education and science are about to be able of expressing themselves on the global scale.
