Sechenov First MSMU seeks to establish close cooperation along with its own strategic development and modernization, as well as deep involvement in further updating of national education and healthcare sectors. The experience to be exchanged in terms or international collegiate collaboration is the matter of great importance, especially for establishments of higher medical education facing the current innovative challenges.
On May 18 in line with the FMSMU international schedule there was a meeting presided by the First Vice-Rector for Innovation and International Cooperation Andrei Svistunov with Australian delegation led by Karine Ataya, Director at Victorian Government Business Office.
Our guests represented the University of Melbourne, RMIT University, La Trobe University and Monash University. All these are quite honorable high schools, whist the University of Melbourne is a real star holding place in Top 50 global university ratings, mean THE, QS and ARWU.
The main objectives of foreign experts was to overview various aspects of scientific, educational and clinical activities of our university, investigating prospects for further cooperation and partnership promising good fruition.
In particular, Andrei Svistunov declared: "Last year, First MSMU revised its mission for the next five years setting the goal of transformation into innovative internationally ranked research university. We’ve detected the trends, defined the vectors and specified the strategic agenda in terms of educational/ clinical policies and activities. The major development drivers to be launched in 2016 are Research Institute of Personalized Medicine, Research Institute of Regenerative Medicine, National Center of Healthcare IT. Of course, the initiatives implying establishment of global international consortia are predetermined by the challenges of the age. Thus, our agenda is viable only within the alliance with leading international and even global institutions."
That’s been a real step towards effective partnership within some global joint project, which is yet coming into sight.
