The Council traditionally started with movies. This time, the film overviewed the Research Institute of Molecular Medicine (RIMM). Today, the key Institute’s staff, engaged in fundamental and applied biomedical research, molecular genetics and genetic engineering, boasted the unique projects of distinct social dimension. The Research Institute is displaying intensive synergy cooperating with other departments of the University. It is planned to advance the research initiatives, especially those aimed at comprehensive introduction of hybrid matrices into clinical practices. Moreover, it’s unveiled that cutting-edge cell bioreactor is to be launched in the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS) in the nearest future. As soon as the lights on, Petr Glybochko, the Rector, noted that all applied research activities of the RIMM should be intensified.

While reporting to the Council, Oleg Admakin, the Dean, informed the congregation that the faculty extended substantially over five years, both in terms of headcount and professionally. The number of students increased by one third: from 974 in 2011 to 1,657 in 2016. New educational approaches, introduction of innovative methodologies and techniques contribute to dramatic skills enhancement of the Faculty graduates. Not just scheduled classes, but smart, complex, somehow enthralling events like recent Olympiad in surgical dentistry, inspire the students to master their future profession the best way conceivable, including eager participation in research conferences of collegiate and even national scale.
The score was highly appreciated by the Rector of the University. In particular, Petr Glybochko declared that the Clinical and Diagnostic Center would move to the University Clinic 4 to vacate the building at Mozhaisky Val for the Faculty of Dentistry.
