The event began with lighting up vizhakku by our VIPs. followed by Indian traditional dance called “bharatham” and few other performances. Beside this, we also had dance competition and fashion show. The event lasted from 7 pm till 11 pm.

We received positive responds from all the guests who attended this event.

Dinesh ParaДивали 04kash Subramaniam (Malaysia, 5th year course) says:

"Last Sunday we celebrated the Diwali "The Festival of Lights". It was indeed a succesfull event which took place at «Korston» hotel. I was actually very amazed and I would personally like to congratulate the organisers of this event who worked hard to find the sponsors. I loved the performance and of course, the food.

I felt excited and nervous at the same time because I had to perform a duet song and we had only little time for practice. However the feelings after performing was really great and plus little that I knew that I was chosen as one of the contestant for the fashion show. We were all very scared because the crowd was huge and to add salt in the wound, it was actually a talent performance and we had only little time to think of what we should do on the stage.Дивали 01

… OK, I just took the mike and I thought of my mother and I told to the audience that I would like to dedicate this song to her and I closed my eyes and start singing from my heart.

This event will be a great memory for me to cherish it throughout my life. I was humbly glad to won the competition and thank you everyone who supported me and congratulations to all the performers".

God bless you all!
