    International students do practical training according to the University Regulations on this matter at its clinics and hospitals, which the relevant groups are attached to. Students do practice 6 hours a day according to the approved schedule. Continuous duration of a working week must not exceed 36 hours. Not allowed working in 24-hour shifts, as well as reducing the overall duration of the practice by increasing the length of a working day.
    The practical training is aimed at acquisition and mastering necessary skills, formation of professional competences, commitment to independent and individual work, taking responsible decisions in the framework of the professional competence of students.
    The practice supervisor basing on practical training results drafts a performance evaluation report on each student which should include:
    1. level of theoretical knowledge;
    2. possession of practical skills;
    3. knowledge of formulations;
    4. discipline abidance;
    5. compliance with ethics, deontology and subordination when communicating with patients and medical staff;
    6. Evaluation of practical value of the student's stay in the department.

    During practice students keep a diary in the prescribed form, recording in it all their daily activities. Accuracy of keeping a diary is a responsibility of practice supervisor who signs it at the end of a working day. By the last day of the practice a student drafts a summary report in the student's diary. At the end of the practice the diary and the report must be signed and chopped by the medical institution CEO.
    Practical training ends up with the final control in the form of an interim evaluation carried out in accordance with the schedule of the University. Attestation of students on practice results is carried out by a Commission composed of lecturers of the relevant Department and the Dean (Vice-Dean) of a faculty. Commission evaluates student’s performance basing on his/her report and diary and using differentiated grading ("excellent", "good", "satisfactory", "unsatisfactory").
    In the case of having well-grounded reasons to undergo practical training in his/her homeland an international student must in advance (at least 2 months before the beginning of practice) submit a personal Application to the Dean’s Office for international students supported by a letter of acceptance issued by the medical institution where a student plans to do the practice. The letter of acceptance must contain confirmation that a student will be admitted to the medical institution in the summer period for a medical practice according to the agreed plan, the title of the practice and the number of training hours. A letter should be signed by the medical institution CEO.
    Before leaving for the practice to the homeland, a student must obtain at the Dean’s Office a practice diary and a prescribed form for drafting a summary practice report. While doing the practice a student must daily make records in the diary, noting performed medical manipulations and techniques (presence, assisting in operations, etc.).
    Upon completion of the practice a student fills in the reporting form. The diary and the report must be signed by the supervisor of the practice (responsible physician) and certified with the medical institution seal.
    On returning to the University a student is required to undergo attestation in the last week of August (before the start of the next academic year).
